1174. The IC Confession Meme

Has your character ever wanted to confess something to another character, whether it;s good or bad? Well, here's your chance for your character to confess to whatever is on their mind!

01. Post with your character and fandom.
02. Post to other characters, either logged in or anon, and tell them how you really feel!
03. Remember, this is an IC meme, not an OOC one. Do not bash or flame others OOCly. And please remember not all characters get along so don't be offended if a character doesn't like yours.

This meme was lifted from all the others that made it before me.

Emily Peters - The Walking Dead OC

I could fall in love with you.

Likewise. You're a wonderful man, Alcide.

Thank you, hon. And you're going to be a great mother.

And you're gonna be a wonderful dad. Our kid is gonna have the best life ever.

You're amazing. I mean, going out fearlessly, foraging...the whole nine. Necessary or not, this freak thinks you're one of the strongest people I've ever met.

Thank you, Alexander. That means a lot to me, especially comin' from you. And, really, thank you for takin' me in, even if I thought of you as a freak.

And, just so you know, I think you're pretty amazin;, too. And, you ain't a freak. At least I don't think so anymore.

[Alex smiled then.] Well, it's hard to find good people around with all this; people kick into self-preservation understandably. But I'm glad I found you.

[Emily returned his smile before nodding a bit.] I was once told those who do that will be the ones still alive with the dust settles. I dunno. I think us good guys will be left standing.

And, to be honest, I think the only person I want to ride this out with is you.

I know we think about what we behind, or, at least, I do. But, reading, surviving off nature, finding someone you can be blunt with and talk to...that's a happy future for me. It might just be the Thoreau I've read three times, but... [He laughed slightly then, looking down shyly at first and now looking straight at her with piercing blue eyes.] A future with you, making it together.

It's only human to think about the past. I think it makes us feel more comfortable. And as long as we know we need to fight for our future, then it's okay to think about the past. [She softly laughs.] Yeah, I think I could probably pass a college exam about Moby Dick now. [His words get a soft smile out of her, and she reaches down for his hand, her fingers hooking around his, but not closing completely. She doesn't want to push too much, and make him uncomfortable.]

Your hands are so small compared to mine, but you could kick my ass if you ever wanted to. [He noticed as she made the small gesture. They had been surviving in a cabin together for a month or so already.] Is it odd to find that endearing, attractive?

It's the small ones you have to look out for, y'know. [And during that month she's grown to like him; not because they were sharing a small space, but because he was interesting and was always kind to her.] No. Do you find it attractive?

Maybe just because it reminds me of the woman in my family. They were, are, all beautiful...and deadly. [He admitting, teasing at the end when he said deadly; he meant strong, independent, and smart.]

Deadly? I guess I can't fault you for that since I have killed a lot of walkers. And beautiful...thank you. You're handsome yourself, which I'm sure you already know since you look in the mirror everyday. [Maybe she was strong and smart, and all those other things, but she kind of sucked at the whole flirting thing. At least that's what she thinks they're doing.]

Well, only if I have to shave; it's kind of tough not to at that point. But, thank you; it's very flattering nonetheless. [Alex said with a light squeeze of her hand as he embraced it with his, blushing slightly. He took pride in his body and keeping himself healthy and in shape, but he was shy as far as compliments about his looks went.]

And, by deadly, I don't mean it literally although you've got that covered. I mean, you're very in tune to the world around you, the people around you. That's not common.

There's nothin' wrong with a little scruff. [His hand tightening makes her shift a little closer to him. She nods at his words, and looks up at him.]

Thank you, Alex. That really is sweet of you.

I only speak what I truly believe, but you're welcome nonetheless. [Alex thought for a moment before recalling quote from the Joyce collection he'd been flying through.] '...anything fine and noble in the future, I should do so only by listening at the doors of your heart.'

You keep me sane, keep me striving to stay afloat and then some.

I will continue to try a make this the best life for you despite the chaotic world around you.

[She likes the promise of having someone there with her; to help protect her from the world outside. Emily knows she'll do the same for Alex, no questions asked. It was them against the creatures, and humans, that lurk outside the door of the cabin.]

I'm grateful we found each other. There's no telling where I'd be right now if we hadn't. And I will always believe we'll make it through this.

[She shifts a bit closer, the floor creaking under her feet as she leans up to kiss him.]

[Nipping at her lips for just a moment, he kissed her, his hand easily finding her cheek eagerly. It wasn't something Alex had expected, but he had thought about it, about her. He just avoided making a move in the fear she might not feel the same. After all, he didn't invite her to stay with him because he was thinking about a relationship, but their companionship seemed to naturally grow to that.]

[Once he starts to return the kiss, Emily moves closer, glad he feels the same. Her feelings for him have grown over the last several weeks, but she always held back. They were sharing a living space, and she didn't want to make things awkward between them. Slowly, she pulls back and looks up at him, her eyes meeting his.] Was that okay?

[Looking straight at her, his lips moved to a soft grin before he spoke.] That was more than okay. [Alex replied simply.]

[Emily returns his grin and lays her head against his chest.] Good. Kissin' you was really nice, Alex.

Almost too nice; I think it could be habit-forming.

I have no qualms about that. It's a nice way to pass the time, don't you think?
